Executive and Leadership Coaching

Helping successful people achieve positive, lasting change in behavior; for themselves as well as their people, teams, and families. We want to help you make your life a little better by unleashing the power of your potential to enhance your career and life.

Our Coaching Style

We have a deep understanding of both human development and relationship dynamics that allows us to emphasize a client’s autonomy and self discovery to empower them to take ownership of their goals and the journey to achieving them. As a coach, we act as a facilitator, providing support and guidance through active listening, open-ended questions, and a focus on a client’s unique perspective.

The First Step is to Know Yourself

Each of us are a unique combination of physical, intellectual, and emotional characteristics that have been influenced throughout our life by everything that has given our life context. That means everything we have been taught, observed, experience, read, and heard as well as everything that remains in our unconscious is what makes us be who we are. In fact, what is unconscious has the greatest influence on us because we are unaware of its presence but feel its influence. As the unconscious becomes conscious, behavioral patterns that no longer serve your best purposes can be changed.

When helping clients to reach towards their potential, we are asking them to step over the boundaries of their know experiences because that is where potential exists. Every small step over your personal boundaries expands your known experiences and is a step towards your potential. It is also the essence of a commitment to continual improvement.

Melissa W. Cooper, MA, LMFT

Advisor, Coach, and Teacher

I help clients overcome limiting beliefs and behaviors to achieve greater success. All people are very complex so my work begins by helping individuals get to know themselves so they gain the ability to form strong, meaningful, collaborative relationships with others. I use my experiences as a psychotherapist trained in behavioral and relational dynamics to help our clients make their careers and lives a little better.

The work I do at Cooper Margolin is not psychotherapy and If you are a client of Cooper Margolin, I cannot see you as a therapist. If you wish to see me as a psychotherapist please contact me through melissawcoopertherapy.com.
